Comfort is something that is not always easy for many gamers, especially those who spend the entire day sitting in front of their computer. The EasySMX gaming chair is designed to be comfortable and to have the best possible performance during hours and hours of gaming.

There are so many gaming chairs available today that it’s just impossible to compare them all. It seems like every gaming brand has their own line of chairs, but only a few have enough unique features to set them apart from the rest. EasySMX has launched a series of play chairs designed for this purpose.

Does it have enough power to make our list of the best gaming chairs? They sent us one of their ergonomic high-back gaming chairs in fabric, so we could try it out for ourselves and let you know if it works for you.

Construction experience

The assembly of the EasySMX ergonomic high back play chair was as easy as the brand name suggests. All the parts and the two size Allen key you need are in the box and ready to use. The instructions are generally simple and easy to follow.

The only thing that confused me a bit was the footrest, which has no instructions on how to attach it to the crossbar under the seat. Still, it was easy to understand and everything was put together in about 20 minutes.

Comfort – Fur

The cushion of the EasySMX chair is very sturdy. This is not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve sat in many memory foam chairs that were soft and comfortable for a while, but quickly became uncomfortable when I sank into them to sit on the hard plastic underneath.

A bigger problem with the EasySMX gaming chair with high back is the rigid attachment of the wings to the sides of the chair. At the edge of the seat, there is about 14.5 inches between the fenders, which is not very wide. I have often noticed that I have sore spots on both sides of my thighs where they rest on hard edges.

The lumbar cushion is comfortable when in place, but likes to slide down when not in use. The neck pillow is also comfortable when placed correctly, but it obviously hangs a little low for me. EasySMX’s website doesn’t have any recommendations for the height or weight of this gaming chair, but the neck cushion position and seat width seem to be somewhere around 5’11”. It can support up to 300 pounds, but it’s definitely not a great gaming chair.

The extra footrest is a nice extra for those who want to relax while gaming or watching movies. But it’s also a little short. The end of the footrest is 15 inches from the edge of the seat.

The mesh fabric is comfortable and has excellent air permeability. This is one of the few chairs, with the exception of the Secret Lab Omega, that has a mesh covering. This is a great advantage for those who live in hot or humid areas.

Adjustable, but beeping

Ergonomic fabric gaming chair with high backrest and good adjustment range. The seat is adjustable between 90 and 135 degrees, with about ten notches in between. The backrest returns to its original position without using hands, but not as quickly as some other chairs. The seat is height adjustable, allowing it to be adapted to different morphologies. The armrests are also height adjustable, which is one of my favorite features of a chair.

Unfortunately, all of these settings have different creaks and squeaks when switched from one setting to another. It’s not a big deal, but it detracts from the overall impression of quality one would expect.

Is EasySMX easy?

So, is the EasySMX ergonomic high back fabric gaming chair a good buy? could be. The price of nearly $200 makes it hard to sell. There are many other gaming chairs in this range with better build quality.

There are a few good things to say about the EasySMX chair. Mesh upholstery is a good alternative to polyurethane leather, which is hard to find in this price range, and while it’s not ideal for taller players, it can be a great option for those who find most gaming chairs uncomfortable.
