In this guide, we’ll take a look at the perks in Dead by Daylight and how they can be used to your advantage. We will also show you where each perk is located on the map and provide screenshots of their locations so that it’s easy to find them!
The “dbd perks” is a set of perks that can be used in Dead by Daylight. This article will show you how to use the perks and what they do.
Yoichi Asakawa, from the iconic Ringu horror series, is the newest Survivor to join Dead by Daylight. Yoichi Asakawa, like other Survivors, has three special abilities that may help him win the challenge. Let’s look at how Yoichi Asakawa’s perks operate in Dead by Daylight and how to make the most of them.
Guidance for Parents
His first unique perk is Guidance for Parents, and here is how it works:
“After stunning the Killer by any means, your scratch marks, pools of blood, and grunts of pain are hidden for 8/9/10 seconds.”
Guidance for Parents is a perk that rewards Survivors for outplaying Killers with pallets. However, it may not be that effective on its own. While 10 seconds at rank 3 is a long time to be hidden, the Killer is only stunned for 2 seconds. This is hardly enough time to get out of sight from the Killer to escape. So Guidance for Parents needs another perk to increase its effectiveness.
The perk Smash Hit, which is one of Yun-Jin Lee’s unique perks, pairs perfectly with Guidance for Parents because it also activates off of a pallet stun. With Smash Hit you will get a speed boost after stunning the Killer, and can shake them off your trail.
Yoichi Asakawa’s second unique perk is Empathic Relationship. Here is how it works:
“Any Survivor within a radius of 32/64/96 meters may see your aura if they are wounded.” You heal other Survivors at a 10% quicker rate.”
Empathic Relationship has a lot of potential for altruistic builds because of the healing speed increase. Sure, the aura reading is nice to help your team find you, but that is not the major benefit of the perk. You can combine Empathic Relationship with med-kits, Botany Knowledge, We’re Gonna Live Forever, and pretty much anything that increases healing speed.
Dark Theory by Boon
Yoichi Asakawa’s third unique perk is Dark Theory by Boon:
“Press and hold the Ability Button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem. Soft chimes ring out in a 24-meter range. Any Survivors within the Boon Totem’s range gain a 2% Haste status effect. This effect lingers for 2/3/4 seconds after leaving the Boon Totem’s range.”
The versatility of these benefits has enhanced with the addition of another Boon Totem perk to the game. At first appearance, this seems to be a promising bonus, particularly when paired with other Boon Totem benefits. While a 2% Haste status effect may not seem like much, it might provide you with the extra speed you need to go to the next window or pallet. The Killer will then have to choose between pursuing a quick Survivor or suffocating the Boon Totem.
Dark Theory by Boon will pair the best with Boon: Shadowstep, which is one of Mikaela Reid’s unique perks. The stealth aspects of Boon: Shadowstep can potentially help you lose the Killer if you have the added Haste from Dark Theory by Boon. Boon: Circle of Healing, another one of Mikaela Reid’s perks, can also be helpful. It can allow you to heal when the Killer is trying to catch up to you.
In Dead by Daylight, Yoichi Asakawa has three distinct advantages. I also have a tutorial on the new Killer Onryo, called Sadako, and her abilities and benefits if you’re interested.
