The most recent mobile game from SNK Playmore, Metal Slug Tactics is the third title in the mobile slug franchise. Developed by the developers of SNK Playmore’s Metal Slug 3D, Metal Slug Tactics is an action strategy game that features Metal Slug characters from the SNK and Neo Geo franchises.
Metal Slug Tactics for the PS4/XONE/PC is now confirmed to be a release date of 2017, but before that it will be shown at this year’s Japan Expo in Paris. Just like the Metal Slug games, the game will be made in the pixel art style, and will feature up to 4 player online multiplayer simultaneously. That’s not all, as the trailer for the game has been shown at the PlayStation Experience event in California. It’s the most exciting news for fans of the Metal Slug series and Metal Sluggers, as the game will also feature new characters from the movies, such as Pino, Fio and Metalman.The Metal Slug Tactics game from Dotemu and Leikir Studio, developed in conjunction with SNK, will feature Marko, Eri, Fio and Tarma. These four heroes will lead the Peregrine Squad in a new dynamic strategic battlefield. Classic metal slug weapons are combined with perks, skill trees and an adrenaline-pumping attack system. Each of the missions is made up of different combinations of handmade terrain tiles, encouraging the use of calculated strategy. The game contains elements of roguelike, and the games are fast paced. Composer Ti Lopez (Sonic Mania) also lent his talents to the game. Watch the trailer below to find out more:
