War Thunder is one of the most popular PC games of all time, and one of its biggest draws is the fact that it features a bonanza of historically rare military vehicles. World of Tanks and World of Warplanes are, of course, home to a huge number of unique vehicles that are not available in the game any other way, but War Thunder also offers a number of special “achievement” vehicles that are available only during the summer landing event.
This Summer, War Thunder is celebrating its eighth anniversary. To mark this event, we are bringing you a special new event for a limited time – Summer Landing. Alongside a series of new aircraft, summer landing offers a bunch of new achievements to complete for obtaining a choice of rare aircraft.
So, you want to complete an achievement in War Thunder? Well, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve dug up some of War Thunder’s rarest vehicles for you to earn, and we’ve even included trick tips on how to unlock them. Grab a cup of coffee, and let’s get started!
Who doesn’t like receiving free vehicles in War Thunder? Because the game is all about military vehicles blowing each other up, having more options in that regard is probably a good thing. That means that the Summer Landing event, which runs until August 30th, will be very interesting to players, as it will award six rare vehicles to those who complete certain objectives.
The Finnish VL Myrsky II fighter plane, the Japanese amphibious Type 3 Ka-Chi tank, the Italian destroyer RN Aviere, Britain’s carrier-based Buccaneer S.1 attack jet, the Russian BMD-4 airborne combat vehicle, and Germany’s Type 143 Bussard patrol boat are among the vehicles in question, along with special decals and camouflages.
Completing three of five missions unique to pilots, tankers, and sailors, earning Stars for each job done, is the only way to get all of this treasure. Each assignment is repeated every two days for the length of the tournament. Golden Eagles may also be used to buy stars until September 2nd.
The game’s official site explains the activities needed and the rewards that await people who aren’t currently playing War Thunder and pursuing the appropriate accomplishments.
War Thunder’s Summer Landing event has now started, offering players the opportunity to complete a number of fun achievements with some very rare vehicles. Alongside a number of special aircraft from the World of Warplanes mod, the event also sees the introduction of the German Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. B “Thumper” as well as the USSR’s Aufklärungsflugzeug (Reconnaissance Aircraft), both of which will be entering the game’s tech tree shortly..
